One long-ish term project is to create versions of Nobile and Mako (above) customised for Android devices. This is likely to result in an amalgamation of features from both fonts into a new face, to give three GUI fonts for portable and handheld devices.

The following screenshots illustrate the issue of autohinting thin stemmed webfonts for rendering with Windows OS ClearType using ttfautohint. The fonts used are Lato Light and Lato Hairline that have been auto-instructed using ttfautohint. A fix to this is expected soon.
